One of the Largest to be Found in the World
Sabre Galvanizing is specially designed to supply North Texas steel fabricators with exceptional corrosion protection. Our state-of-the-art facility is located on Sabre Tubular Structures' campus in Alvarado, Texas, and is the only one of its type in North America. Set on 35 acres with ample storage and staging space, this 42,000 square foot hot dip galvanizing facility is one of the largest to be found in the world.
Sabre Galvanizing is home to one of the world's biggest operating kettles. Our kettle measures 65' long x 11' deep x 9' wide, and holds 2.58 million pounds of molten zinc. With 20 ton lifting capacity, we can galvanize the largest steel fabrications with ease.
In response to concerns regarding distortion and cope cracking, Sabre Galvanizing utilizes preheating prior to dipping. Our facility has the world's largest preheaters, capable of preheating steel to over 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Our 11 foot deep kettle provides for greater heat sink and eliminates most of the need for "double-dipping".
An Environmentally Responsible Facility
Duplicating the European method of galvanizing, every step in our process is environmentally responsible. We accomplish this by:
Capturing the white smoke and filtering particle emissions.
Operating with negative air pressure.
Not using hazardous caustic for degreasing.
Totally regenerating the acid used for pretreatment.
Having a completely enclosed kettle to eliminate the danger of zinc splashing.
A permitted clean plant, Sabre Galvanizing is the benchmark by which all other hot dip galvanizers in North America will be measured.
Sabre Galvanizing, the galvanizing division of
Sabre Industries, Inc.
, is the most efficient
and environmentally-friendly general galvanizing facility in the United States.
