Job Description:
Supervises the plant processing operations to achieve efficiency, cost effectiveness, on-time production and a quality product. Ensures compliance with the facility's Safety Program and Environmental Program as directed. Supervises the operation of acid recycling, flux recycling, galvanizing kettle and various departments. Assists Plant Supervisor on plant schedules and issues. Provides input on requirements needed to maintain cost efficiency on Sabre Products and customers products. Makes recommendations to improve production flow, equipment performance, quality of product and cost savings. Implements quality control measures developed by QA/QC department. Manage plant chemistry and chemistry related processes. Identify and implement process improvements including racking, kettle techniques, finishing, shipping and dross techniques. Reduce zinc usages. Increase efficiencies and production throughput. Supervise QC Inspectors. Work with production supervisors to achieve production goals.
Requirements:
Associate Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five + years experience in galvanizing or similar industry. Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Sabre's policies and applicable laws. Have working knowledge of OSHA and EPA rules and regulations.
